[[postfree1bopp]] BOPP / A COMPARATIVE GRAMMAR OF THE SANSCRIT, ZEND, GREEK, LATIN, LITHUANIAN, GOTHIC, GERMAN . . . . ♦ 945 Euros Postfree-By-Airmail Worldwide ♦ [ , A Comparative Grammar of the Sanscrit, Zend, Greek, Latin, Lithuanian, Gothic, German . . . ..] . . And Sclavonic Languages. Translated from the German principally by Lieutenant Eastwick, M.R.A.S. Conducted through the press by H.H.Wilson, M.A. F.R.S., Boden Professoor of Sanscrit in the University of Oxford. Published by Madden And Malcolm, London. FIRST ENGLISH TRANSLATION. 3 PARTS AS A THREE VOLUME SET. Parts I & II, dated 1845. Part III, dated 1850. Though a VERY HEAVY SET sold, as always, ENTIRELY POSTFREE BY-AIRMAIL-WORLDWIDE. Part I: i-xv (including Wilson's Preface of 1845 and Bopp's Preface of 1833) + 1-456. Part II: 457-952. Part III: 953-1462 (including "Alphabetical Table of Contents" and "Corrections And Additions"). "Very Good plus" to "Fine" HARDBACK expertly rebound in modern brown cloth with gilt titling and Dewey number on backstrip; and modern endpapers; marred only very slightly by a barely perceptible colour-lightening spot to bottom edge of front board of Part II and some neat marginal notes to text -- not more than a dozen in the entire set. Formerly the property of an English city library with their ornate armorial bookplate and neat "withdrawn" stamps to front & rear pastedowns. A barely used reference exemplar with none of the faults usually associated with lending copies. Extra-ordinarily clean within & without. FULLEST DETAILS of publication, pagination, contents, condition and size, in both inches and centimetres, and sample text all shown in ACCOMPANYING COMPOSITE IMAGE. ***** A lovely clean/crisp exemplar of the scarce first English translation. ******
